Large high floating duck with mottled brown and white plumage, dark head and neck, greyish bill. Possible mallard breed (due to upturned tail feathers similar to a lot of mallards).
This is the only pair I have seen here, they’re amongst several other duck types (Black, Wood, Maned, Teal, a solitary Domestic), Eurasian Coots, Australasian Swamphen, a pair of Black Swans, a Cormorant, what appears to be a White Faced Heron and a solitary Pelican.
I have been trying to identify this pair but to no avail.
